Como Zoo & Conservatory Each year Como Park Zoo & Conservatory welcomes 1.9 million visitors, making it one of Minnesota’s most visited attractions. Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is one of only four FREE zoos in the United States. Como Zoo features over 13 acres and 25 animal exhibits in the urban oasis in the heart of Saint Paul. The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory features 9 garden collections and Tropical Encounters – an authentic rainforest immersion experience. Each year, 1,289 volunteers contribute over 47,000 hours of time to help support the Zoo and Conservatory.

Minnesota Bonsai Society The Minnesota Bonsai Society was founded in 1971 to assist members in learning the art of bonsai. The club has special programs for bonsai beginners and offers a wide variety of programs and activities for all levels of bonsai skill. The Society offers monthly meetings which include exciting programs, demonstrations, and talks about various aspects of bonsai art and horticulture.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum (University of MN) The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum features more than 1,000 acres of magnificent gardens, model landscapes, and natural areas-from woodlands and wetlands to prairie-with extensive collections of northern-hardy plants. Tour the Arboretum on 12.5 miles of garden paths and hiking trails. The Minnesota Rose Society The Minnesota Rose Society was organized in 1939 to foster the hobby of growing roses in Minnesota and surrounding areas. The American Hemerocallis Society The American Hemerocallis Society, Inc. (AHS) is a non-profit organization. The AHS is organized exclusively for educational and scientific purposes, and especially to promote, encourage, and foster the development and improvement of the genus Hemerocallis and public interest therein.Join the American Hemerocallis Society and receive four issues each year of ‘The Daylily Journal.’ A colorful, informative magazine featuring pictures of new cultivars; how-to articles on care, feeding, and hybridizing; and news of upcoming AHS meetings and conventions.Other membership benefits . . .

Minnesota Water Garden Society The Minnesota Water Garden Society (MWGS) is dedicated to increasing the enjoyment and enthusiasm for water gardening through promotion, education and shared experiences. We accomplish this by creating varied and exciting programs and special events that cultivate our interests, our hobby, and our association with each other. Members come from all over the greater Twin Cities area. Some members have several water gardens and are experts in their field while others just want to learn the basics.

Orchid Society of Minnesota people who wish to find out more about Orchids are directed to the Orchid Society of Minnesota. They hold monthly meetings where they may learn what Orchids are and how to grow them under lights in the basement, on the windowsill, or in a greenhouse.
